Resolved Question: Oceanside California living year-round?

I am interested in moving to Southern California from New Jersey. I really like the beautiful year-round weather, beaches, mountains, amusement parks, laid back lifestyle, etc. I really have no clue about the areas down there. Which is the best area or does it even make a difference? I seen a few houses that I like in Oceanside, how is that community?? Is it near attractions?
